ABOUT US

MATT CONNELLY

CHAIRMAN

Matt Connelly is a transportation and supply chain industry expert. His career began with UPS where he developed its air freight, ocean freight, and transportation 3PL capabilities. Matt played a critical role in transforming the UPS domestic network by developing ecommerce capabilities and enhancing time in transit offerings. He was responsible for sourcing of UPS’s purchase transportation needs and for integrating strategic acquisitions. Upon concluding his career at UPS, Matt became the Chief Executive Officer for Good360, a nationally recognized non-profit organization. During his tenure he expanded Good360’s reverse logistics capabilities to achieve extraordinary growth from 2019 to 2022. Matt was integral in launching Vesta Freight and led its growth in 2023 and 2024 through expanding operating capabilities and markets.

Currently Matt serves as Chairman of Vesta Freight and is a Senior Executive Advisor to the United States Postal Service Postmaster General.

NICK CICERO

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Nick Cicero is a supply chain professional providing transportation and logistics proficiency throughout his exceptional 15-year career. He has established his excellent reputation by working with numerous Forbes Top 500 companies and gaining invaluable insights along the way. Serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Vesta Freight, Nick oversees the company’s operations with precision and strategic vision. Prior to his role at Vesta Freight, Nick held numerous operational positions including Vice President of Business Development at established companies in the transportation industry. During his shipping business tenure, Nick honed his skills and accumulated layers of operational experience. Nick Cicero’s insightful understanding of the industry and his ability to drive business growth make him an influential leader in the field. Nick is a graduate of Park University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.

JUAN IBARRA

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Juan Ibarra is a Finance and Accounting professional with over three decades of experience in supply chain and logistics. Juan held senior level controller positions at UPS including F&A integration for numerous acquisitions of Ocean, Air, and Transportation 3PL companies. Juan also developed corporate strategy and provided leadership in U.S. Domestic, International and Supply Chain Solutions business units.
While at UPS, Juan gained extensive experience managing Finance and Accounting teams with a focus on maintaining reporting compliance for financial reporting and developing strategies for profitable revenue growth. Juan is an expert at generating cost and revenue models for P&L reporting and profitability regression models for surface, air and ocean freight transportation networks.
Juan earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Business Administration from National-Louis University – Chicago.
